Not my proudest moment. On our way to Cunningham Falls State Park, we encountered some rain showers. Yeah no big deal. Until we got to the road out of Thurman going to the camp. When I started up the road I encountered a road closed sign. We had to detour up a 1-lane back road to the campground. There was a lot more traffic on this little road because of the detour. On this narrow road there were trees and poles that were right next to the pavement on my side. I did what I could to maneuver slowly past the downhill traffic without taking too much of the road. Well long story short, the awning impacted with one of the poles and you can see the result above.
We opted to take the awning and related arms off, and haven’t really missed the awning too much since.
