I have been fascinated by this little insect since the days I lived in Riddle, OR at the age of four. Back then I remember all of the clover blossoms growing in the field around our house and I would see how many I could collect in a glass jar.

In 2019 I finally took the plunge and hosted a colony of honeybees at my home in Columbia, MD. I live near to the Little Patuxent river and have a contributing stream that runs through my property.
